Refinancing

Is your home loan still working for you?

Loyalty rarely pays with lenders. I'll compare your loan with the market, show you the full cost of switching, not just the headline rate, and keep checking it every six months after.

Questions I'm often asked.

What does it cost to refinance?

Typically discharge fees from your current lender, any new loan fees and government registration fees. Fixed loans may have break costs. Lenders mortgage insurance can apply above 80% of the property value. Try the switching calculator.

Should I just ask my lender for a better rate?

Sometimes that's the best outcome. I can approach your lender with market evidence so you get the benefit without the paperwork of switching.

How often should I review my loan?

At least once a year, and whenever a fixed rate is ending. My clients get a review every six months without needing to ask.
