Construction & Renovation

Build it once, finance it properly.

Construction loans release money in stages as your build progresses. I'll set up the loan, coordinate progress payments with your builder and keep the lender informed so the build doesn't stall.

How construction finance works

Clear steps, one person, no surprises.

  1. Land and contract reviewedYour building contract, plans and quote assessed against lender requirements.
  2. Valuation "as if complete"The lender values the finished home to set the loan.
  3. Progress paymentsFunds released at each stage, with interest charged only on what has been drawn.
  4. CompletionFinal inspection, the loan converts to a standard home loan.

Client reviews

She is efficient, attentive to details, follows through closely with impeccable coordination… Jenny has also proactively negotiated for lower rates when the interest rate was falling back then without me asking.

She made my first home purchase so easy and stress-free! … She will definitely be my first and last broker manager for all the future properties!
Rachael Chin · First home buyer
We had a great experience of refinance our home loan with Circle Finance… This was our second time dealing with them. I would give Circle Finance more than Five Stars.

Questions I'm often asked.

How are progress payments made?

Your builder invoices at each stage (such as slab, frame, lock-up, fixing and completion), and the lender pays after confirming the work. You usually pay interest only on the amount drawn so far.

Can I get a construction loan for a renovation?

For larger structural renovations, yes. Smaller projects may suit a top-up or equity release instead.

What if the build costs more than quoted?

Lenders generally need you to fund variations yourself or apply for an increase, so it's worth building a buffer into your plan.
