What the area is like
Wantirna South is one of the established suburbs of the City of Knox, with Westfield Knox on Burwood Highway acting as the area’s main meeting point for shopping, dining and the movies. Much of the housing is solid family homes on decent-sized blocks, built as the eastern suburbs grew outwards, with townhouses and units added over the years as older blocks have been redeveloped.
There’s no train station in the suburb, so most households rely on the car, the buses that run through the Knox City interchange, and quick access to EastLink for getting across the east or towards the city.
