Ringwood is one of the busiest centres in Melbourne’s outer east and a short trip up EastLink from our Wantirna South base. It has changed a lot over the years, and the mix of buyers here is as varied as the housing.
A major hub in the east
Ringwood is the main centre of the City of Maroondah. Eastland draws shoppers from across the region, and the area around it includes Realm, the library and community space, along with Ringwood Lake Park. Ringwood station sits on both the Belgrave and Lilydale lines and connects to a large bus interchange, so getting into the city or around the east without a car is realistic. For drivers, EastLink connects with the Ringwood Bypass and Maroondah Highway close by.
The housing reflects that variety. Apartments and townhouses have been built close to the station and Eastland, while the quieter streets further out still have older family homes on larger blocks.
How Jenny helps Ringwood buyers
- First home buyers who want to be close to the train line and shops, and may be looking at an apartment or townhouse. Some lenders are more cautious about certain apartment types, so we check lender policy before you commit.
- Investors attracted by Ringwood’s transport links and amenities, who want to compare loan structures and how lenders treat rental income.
- Owners renovating or subdividing an older home on a larger block, where construction or development-style finance may be involved.
- Upgraders moving from an apartment into a house as their household grows.
- Refinancers who want to check that their loan still suits them.
Finance for local businesses
Ringwood’s retail and services sector, along with the industrial areas in nearby Bayswater and Croydon, means plenty of local business owners need finance. Jenny arranges commercial property loans for shops, offices and warehouses, and asset finance for equipment, fit-outs, vans and business vehicles. If you’re self-employed, we’ll work out which lenders suit your income and help you prepare the paperwork.
A note from Jenny Ringwood buyers often have more choice than they realise, from apartments near the station to older homes with development potential. Before you fall in love with a property, I’ll help you understand what lenders will and won’t accept, so there are no surprises once you’ve signed.
